When all else fails, I can take a million photos of calla lillies for absolutely no reason. My yard is full of two very nice bushes blooming in full right now. Part of me wants to cut a few to make a bouquet and take photos, but then I wouldn't get to enjoy them as long...

Blooming beauty in my front yard
What a prick!

It was over 80 degress here today. Gorgeous. I made a new crockpot dish for dinner (will be posting momentarily on my blog).
We had an early dinner, took five kiddos to the park and played our heart out for way too long.
This is my precious goofy boy.
He was wearing his dad's pepsi hat because his friend wanted his Marine hat. Then he had on one glove and his St. Patrick Day's necklace. He marches to the beat of his own drum, for sure.
He also gets my flushed red face easily. Poor thing.
I must say I love him to pieces. He needs a haircut direly, though. I am just trying to wait until closer to his auntie's wedding, that he (and Rawni) are in.

We made this for dinner tonight. I thought it was some of my lasagna that we were thawing out in a container, but it wasn't. We had our friend's little ones tonight and I didn't expect to go over well. We also needed to use up these containers of pudding, so I figured I would use it to help motivate them and offer a treat.
We had three vanilla and one butterscotch. Rather than listening to who wanted what, I made a little swirly action with the butterscotch and divided them all evenly, topping with whipped cream and a little chocolate syrup. They were in heaven. No complaints. No arguing. Nothing but happy kids.
Oh and the dinner? It was a total hit. Except with my kids. Figures. They don't particularly care for ricotta. In all honesty, I can't complain I hated it until just over a year when I tried this dish.

Bacon Sandwiches for ALL, most.
This was a dinner I made a week, possibly two weeks ago, while we were babysitting some friends. It was unexpected, but it was a fun and easy meal.
Rawni did not want a bacon sandwich and I (though I normally don't) obliged and made her peanut butter and jelly only because we were short on (turkey) bacon.
It was a huge hit with all four kids. Robert's not much into bacon, yet and since it's not really healthy, I don't push it on him.
I, personally, forwent the whale crackers, but I did eat a bunch of orange (I don't normally, I am not a big fan of oranges) and I loaded up with a large serving of raw carrots, too.

We enjoyed a yummy park dinner tonight accompanied by some walking/running around. Then we walked to the library where we checked out a ton of new books/movies/cd's to add to what we already have in our library basket.
When my kids grow up, they are going to think I didn't exist in their lives because I am never in the photos.... My husband rarely takes any and when he does they usually turn out pretty blurry and cut off. Bummer.

THE ball.
We got this ball at a birthday party a few years ago. Actually, William and Rawni each got one, but I am not sure where the other went. I haven't seen it in a long time.
I took this photo in January, not expecting to ever really use it for anything, mostly just messing with and learning settings on my camera.
This ball is Robert's absolute favorite toy right now. Once my husband pointed it out to him, he was inseparable for a few days. He would throw a fit when I had to remove it from his hand to buckle him in his car seat. He would throw a fit when the ball was not by his side in the stroller.
No, I was not intending for this photo, or ball, to have any value, but apparently it does.

I have about eight dozen variations of this same shot today. This is my favorite.
I just wanted a nice shot of Rawni, but she refused. William, on the other hand, was trying to jump in front of the camera everytime I pulled it out.
I think I really screwed him up taking 400 photos a day of him as an infant. Ahem.

It was a tough decision to decide on a photo for today. Oh no. Not because any of them are good. They are all horrible.
Either the lighting is off, the kids are being cooky or something is blurry.
I guess that fully explains my life of three children, huh?
Here is the shot I chose for today.
We bought this big container of cheese balls at WalMart on Friday. Rawni was so excited. Robert has found a new love. William, was slightly unimpressed, but I expected as much. He's not as big on the junk as the other two are.
Rawni is a "please don't take my picture phase". William was wanting to go play his PS2 since he tried (and didn't like) the cheese balls. Robert was just as happy as ever hamming it up, but was having the hardest time of his life sitting there for me. He wanted to get up and dance, and did try several times.
As you can also see, Rawni and Robert did not get dressed today. William wanted his star for it, so he most certainly did get dressed.

Any guesses as to what I am working on?
This is a "mane" for William's horse costume I have to make. I guess they sent a letter home last week, but my husband neglected to tell me. Therefore, I had just a few days and was told to get this done. The letter only recommends a simple costume, but still. I have to finish up the final touches and get it back to his classroom. He's in a play next month (and has had his lines memorized already for weeks!!).
Can anyone tell me how to make the ears? That is where I am stuck right now.

Our power was out today for almost seven hours (which is a whole 'nother story of questions and entertainment), and while we could have used the stove to cook dinner, we just decided to go out to eat.
This is Robert stuffing his face with a Red Lobster biscuit.
Back to the electricity though. My kids were so confused and overwhelmed with the situation. When it came back on, I think they checked every light "Hey, this one works too!" It was a miracle for them.

Today was my husband's only day off this week. It went miserable. That's not true, once my headache went away and make a large dinner together the night improved. But until then, I had the worst migraine that water and Advil was not curing for quite some time.
I had seen this idea once before and thought today was a great day to try it. Plus it encouraged William and I to sit and play Scrabble (his first time on the "real" board, we've only played Words with Friends before). Then I whooped my, okay okay nevermind. My husband whooped my tush good. But, I've beat him at WWF the last few times, so whatever. ; )

That banner at the top of my posts is for a Mom Grant I am working really hard to win. If you could vote for me over on Facebook, even just once (though you can vote daily), it would be so very helpful. I'd like to use that money to fund my trip to BlogHer '11 and improve my blog, along with offering a few giveaway's for my wonderful readers! Thank you, friends.
The little ones I am babysitting got picked up a tad early this evening. They picked up and were getting ready to settle down for books and popcorn when there was a knock at the door.
I finished up my vacuuming and took this shot of the family just before bed.
Total side note: My house is practically spotless. My husband is off tomorrow. I've been bored lately. I am feeling on top of the world. Besides the whiny kids lately. Is that the full moon still or the boogers we've been fighting off?!

I think I can actually see some improvement in my food photography. Nah, probably not. It's likely just because I shot this in more daylight that flash. Dang it.
This is my new favorite Lean Cuisine Meal. O. M. Geeeeeeeee. It's like a Teriyaki Bowl ish deal. It's got rice, almonds, chicken, broccoli, and the sauce is to die for. All for only 5 points.
This shot is SOOC (straight of the camera). I am entirely too tired and lazy wanting to go watch a movie with my husband but needed to get my WW up first. :p

I can't believe it's already the 80th day of this year! It's been hard to hang on the "Photo a Day" goal, but I am not giving up. I refuse. I have wanted to do this for so long, I know I will be thrilled when it's completed.
So, two weeks ago I decided to hop back on the Weight Watchers bandwagon. I never join. I lost 80 pounds doing it from home. Why on Earth would I pay for something I can accomplish just as well on my own (and did)? The one time I joined, I was the least successful of them all!
I am using the old system, so you might recognize this
and can you guess how much I've lost in two weeks? Yup, five pounds. :-) I am happy with that. I've been eating a crapload of fruits and veggies, protein and correct portions. It feels pretty good.

Notice anything about this photo?
Okay, if you noticed it wasn't taken with my Canon Rebel, you're observant. But did you notice anything else??
Right there in the address bar. Yup. It's official. I own my own official dot com. I am so excited. Now I need to work out a few of the other kinks to get my blog where I want it. It's going to take some time and a little bit of funds though. So maybe you can help by voting on that Mom Grant banner above? I would really appreciate it! You can vote daily, but even one vote would be a tremendous help and make me forever grateful. Thank you, friends.
