We helped in my son's class today. I brought the camera (like always), but it is hard to capture shots that are fun and not an invasion of privacy for posting on my blog.  I always ask permission before I post other children.  Therefore, I chose this one because it doesn't show any faces.

Robert was/is the big man on campus when we visit.  There is normally daycare for him while I help in the class. Today it wasn't open. So, he stayed in the classroom with me the whole time. He kept playing with the teacher and several times I looked around for him and he was in another mom's lap. Have I mentioned my admiration for my son's school? I couldn't be more pleased. The community, the environment, the teachers, the principal, I haven't met a single person there yet that I didn't adore.

It was a tough call, but I think this is my favorite of my cutie from today. He was having so much fun chasing the balls across the playground at William's school. This expression was my favorite though.

Today's Photo

IMG_3374

Happy Mother's Day to me!
IMG_3385

This little Princess went above and beyond for me all day.  She truly made my warm and fuzzy.  I couldn't have asked for or prepared myself for the joy she made me feel.
IMG_3390

I tried to get some shots of all three of my kiddos, but of course, Robert was pretty busy resisting to get the three of them at the same time.  The other two are great, until he starts, then it has a domino effect of attention spans.
IMG_3372
Oh well, here are my three gifts from above.  The reason this day holds so much value for me as an individual, besides, you know, my mommy.

I made "my" Oatmeal, as the kids call it, for breakfast this morning. I realized I need to update that recipe. My kids actually prefer mine now. Not only that, but they nag me for it way more often than I care to make it.

Today I made them up a big batch, and let Robert go to town on his own.  I know that children need to feed themselves to learn, but it is so hard for me to watch sometimes.  I didn't face him at the breakfast table... it makes me nauseous.

Afterwards, he needed a bath and so did his high chair.

Here is my cutie just before splashing up a storm.

Am I a bad mother for finding this photo hil.ar.ious?

The dolphin splashed me, Ma!

Today we went to Six Flags to celebrate my husband's birthday as a family.  It was fun.  We sat in the "wet zone" for the dolphin show (as I am a huge fan, and would not risk sitting too far from good photos)!  Ahem.

Anyways, you get splashed, but not much.  I was surprised my husband didn't at least guard Robert a bit though.  He was very tired and he let out a wail for a moment in surprise.  It really didn't last long.  Considering he didn't nap all day, he was more than on his best behavior!

Just for fun, here's a self portrait from today.

Besides spending my day on the couch reading and relaxing (as much as you can with three kids, that is), we have a Monday night ritual:

The park. Picnic. Library. Family time.

This Monday was no different.

That's not true. This Monday I let the kids bring their sucker's from the Easter Bunny.

Neither of them finished these suckers, but it was fun while they did enjoy them.

Rawni was off playing ball with dad, and ended up not eating hers this evening (or yet). But, don't feel fooled, she's the biggest sugar sweetie of them all!

I don't think we could have crammed any more into this day (or week, maybe even month at the rate it's going...).

Today we had two spring parties. William's was all day, but we went to it first thing in the morning, so as to hit Rawni's in the afternoon, allow Robert a short nap and head out of town for a wedding rehearsal.

This is William's "egg drop race".

My kids, Robert especially (since it was hardest on him), were great sports through it all (and the following days, too!).

Today was my son's first school play. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. A grandmother of a student a few years prior put this on with the class and has come back since to work in the classroom free of pay to do this. It was fantastic. Have I mentioned how much I adore my son's school, teacher and classroom? I couldn't be more pleased.

Anyways, he was a horse, and he learned his lines quickest they said! I'd love to take credit, but all of his practice was done on his own free will. He's pretty awesome.

I like the firetruck shot I took best from today.
IMG_1598

I am not very good at portraits. Plus I feel like my kids never cooperate these days and the candid moments never turn out.

At any rate, this was my favorite moment of Rawni's field trip today. I wish I could have played with this thing!
IMG_1654

Oh and since we're talking about favorite moments, I guess I can share my least favorite.
IMG_1672

Ahem. Yes, another goose egg. I guess of all places for it to happen, the firestation is a good one, no?

I have another photo I took today that I was intending to use, until this one.
IMG_1500

Aren't they adorable? Well, you don't have to think so, but I certainly do.

During the rainstorms, we left the clean hot tub open to be filled without paying much for water. We only had to finish filling it about 1-1.5 feet before we could turn it back on and use it.   Man, we missed "family hot tub night".

Who wants a hug?
IMG_1424

Spaghetti and homemade meatballs for dinner. Yum! Well, at least a few of the five kids thought so, Robert being one of them.

This was such a tough decision. I have a few photos better quality than this one, but I can't resist these expressions. I love being goofy. I love that my daughter wanted to take photos of us together. I love every look on Robert's face in every shot I took. I love how happy I was in these moments.
IMG_1392
These are the moments I live for.

But since we're looking at the options, this was my fun runner up. Yes, ice cream. We treated ourselves to Baskin Robbin's tonight after our park picnic and library family time. Oh the memories we are creating! : )
IMG_1419

These are (very obviously) straight out of the camera shots. I'm tired, and I'm busy and I have a lot to do this evening. But, I haven't quit! I am very excited to reach the 100 day mark.

What better way to spend opening day of baseball than to be playing baseball out front?
IMG_1195
Oh and look!  There I am in a family shot, imagine that.  ; )

It hasn't been habit to let Robert run around in diapers, though it may look like it from my cloth diaper reviews.  However, yesterday was hot and after I let him have a popsicle, his clothes were done for the day.

For privacy purposes, I blurred out our license plates and house number.
