I cheated on my husband today. Yup, you read that right. I did! No, really. To him, I completely and utterly cheated. I went on William's field trip and we visited Round Table. We even (gasp) ate their pizza. Shame on us. (He owns a non Round Table pizza franchise.)

Another lazy day on my part via photos. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the day without hiding behind a camera. Plus, I had three kids and socializing to do!

Anyways, this was just before we left the school after the field trip.

I really wanted to capture a shot of Rawni and I's toes together today, but I just never got around to it. She asked me to do her toes in a rainbow. They are so cute. We did Red, Orange, Green, Blue, and Purple. Then I hand painted little black flowers on each one. Adorable. I did her hands too. It was so cute, in fact, that I opted to do the same on my own. I had a different plan in mind, but then I changed it. Too adorable. Anyways, I just didn't get the photo I wanted, I actually ended up taking this one when I realized I was too tired to do otherwise.

Instead, another lovely story time shot for your pleasure. My kids are always being goofy dressing in random stuff from the dress up bin. Also, Will's legs are like that and the ottoman is slammed up against them because I had vacuumed after we picked up tonight. ; )

Today's Photo

Happy Mother's Day to me!

This little Princess went above and beyond for me all day. She truly made my warm and fuzzy. I couldn't have asked for or prepared myself for the joy she made me feel.

I tried to get some shots of all three of my kiddos, but of course, Robert was pretty busy resisting to get the three of them at the same time. The other two are great, until he starts, then it has a domino effect of attention spans.

Oh well, here are my three gifts from above. The reason this day holds so much value for me as an individual, besides, you know, my mommy.

I made "my" Oatmeal, as the kids call it, for breakfast this morning. I realized I need to update that recipe. My kids actually prefer mine now. Not only that, but they nag me for it way more often than I care to make it.

Today I made them up a big batch, and let Robert go to town on his own. I know that children need to feed themselves to learn, but it is so hard for me to watch sometimes. I didn't face him at the breakfast table... it makes me nauseous.

Afterwards, he needed a bath ~~and so did his high chair~~.

Here is my cutie just before splashing up a storm.

Nothing fancy too. I am getting into a rut of just taking a photo to take one, not working on any skills.

To be honest, I'd like to work on it, but it's not priority.

Tonight we watched "The WaterHorse" as a family. It was nice, relaxing and fun. William had to go to bed on time last night while Rawni got to stay up late with his friend, so Will promised him tonight (a non school night) he could have a turn. He was bummed his sister got in on the fun, again, but he was very mature about it voicing his feelings. I think he deserves a special night soon. He's been very mature on a lot of levels this week. I can't believe how much my boys are growing.

I say boys because not only William, but Will has made efforts as a husband this week that have left me more than pleased. I am very blessed.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

My husband meal planned this week (all on his own) and chose my Gramma's enchiladas for dinner. We didn't even realize it til we were eating that it was fitting for the day. In all honesty, my friend pointed it out.

They joined us for dinner this evening and brought the yummy sides and ice cream. Then, we headed to the hot tub for some play, and later mommy relaxing. It was just what I needed!

Rawni too. She had been missing her buddy sooo much!

Today was Open House at William's school. When I was a kid I remember running around showing my mom this and that and all of the cool things I had made. William didn't seem to care. I am not sure if it is because Will and I both help and visit the class often, or if it was too crowded, but it wasn't a big deal to him. It was just too chaotic to me.

Afterwards we visited all of the first grade classrooms to get an idea of who will request for next year. I got a few recommendations, and I am pretty confident in who I will choose. The school allows requests, and we got who we wanted this year and it has a perfect match for us. I couldn't be more than pleased.

Am I a bad mother for finding this photo hil.ar.ious?

The dolphin splashed me, Ma!

Today we went to Six Flags to celebrate my husband's birthday as a family. It was fun. We sat in the "wet zone" for the dolphin show (as I am a huge fan, and would not risk sitting too far from good photos)! Ahem.

Anyways, you get splashed, but not much. I was surprised my husband didn't at least guard Robert a bit though. He was very tired and he let out a wail for a moment in surprise. It really didn't last long. Considering he didn't nap all day, he was more than on his best behavior!

Happy Birthday to my husband!

To celebrate, he worked a 12 hour day while the kids and we went to William's classmate's party. Not exactly what we had planned for the past month, but finances decided otherwise for us.

Most of the good photos I got are not of my bunch. The lighting wasn't great and I just didn't get good shots.

This was the best shot I got all day.

And this is in honor of the birthday boy. I made him that cake. I think it looked better than my photos give it justice. It's carrot (with lots of fresh carrots inside and on top) and have filling and I thought I did a pretty good job on the icing too. All of Rawni's cake videos really taught me well!

I thought I had forgotten to take a photo today. But, I didn't. I forgot my camera when heading to Will's work for pizza and then the park with the younger two.

"Luckily", I snapped these two shots in the day (unplanned) with my Blackberry. I hate that thing, by the way.

This is a book Rawni got from the library this week and made me chuckle. She's so shoe obsessed.

I meant to use my camera to take a real shot at home, but then I was too tired when I thought of it and before I knew it, it was after midnight and I didn't even feel like scrambling to pretend I had thought of something creative. I just didn't. I was tired.

My husband can be pretty amazing in the kitchen. Tonight he planned ahead by looking up a new chicken recipe for the crockpot.

This was dinner. It wasn't my favorite, but the kids (all five of them) enjoyed it. I think I may blog it soon. But, we'll see!
